Charity is the eldest of six daughters growing up on Yellow Creek Station. She is the glue that started "The Council of the Sisterhood" as a place where they could each present their concerns with love, acceptance and some creative problem-solving. Charity enlists her sisters to make her youngest sister's sixth birthday a landmark celebration.With the support of Mason, one of the station-hands, an old Spanish cabinet is transformed into a spectacular doll's house. As Charity's twenty-first birthday approaches, the pressure to marry increases under her mother's matchmaking.
