It tells how William came to England, describes the battle and establishment of the abbey, and offers a glimpse at monastical life, disputes, and the first hundred years of Norman rule.
This work is a revised and updated edition of the translation by Mark Lower published in 1851, and not a reproduction of a vintage book showing library stamps, notations, errant marks, or containing missing or blurred pages.
