This "Ezekiel Exercise" given to us at our original retreat that launched Abide Ministries became the basis of our retreat (and now course) material for our wonderful ministry of showing believers how to abide, discern God's will - based upon hearing His voice (called in scripture rhema) - personally and applied directly to each of our lives uniquely. As we were processing with God about the final day to end our "ad hoc" retreat on abiding (purely given by God on the spot, with no planning of any kind), Linda and I walked around the castle again and asked God to show us how to end this. He spoke "Ezekiel 34 - My promises to My sheep. I will speak to each person and demonstrate what it means to hear My voice as I speak logos and apply it personally as rhema". Have them cross reference from Ezekiel 3 times and you will see How I uniquely speak to each person for their personal application".So, we did. We were overwhelmed by how God truly spoke to each one of us and then gave Linda and I discernment and insight regarding what He was saying to each person. It was amazing. Each person heard His voice. Each person understood how to start with what He was speaking and abide in His word daily to have Him lead us to fulfill what He was speaking (always encouraging, and full of promises).
