KEITH WARD is an English philosopher, theologian, and Anglican priest renowned for his work in comparative theology and the dialogue between science and religion. Educated at the University of Wales and Oxford, with further degrees from Cambridge and Glasgow, he has held numerous distinguished academic posts, including Dean of Trinity Hall, Cambridge; F. D. Maurice Professor of Moral and Social Theology and later Professor of the History and Philosophy of Religion at King's College London; and Regius Professor of Divinity at Oxford University. A Fellow of the British Academy, he also served as a canon of Christ Church, Oxford, and later as Gresham Professor of Divinity in London.

His international academic engagements include visiting professorships in the United States, membership on the council of the Royal Institute of Philosophy, and service on several editorial boards and scholarly organizations devoted to inter-religious dialogue.
