Lionel Popkin's body-based choreographies, installations and dance for camera works have been presented on four continents, and his writings have appeared in the Choreographic Practices Journal and the Oxford University Press Handbook on Indian Dance. He is a Professor of Choreography at UCLA, a former member of the Trisha Brown Dance Company and a current resident artist at the 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica, California, USA.
