This chapter delves into the details of the Tribunal, an establishment created to accommodate werewolves on the night of the full moon, as well as to mete out justice to those wolves who have transgressed the law. Although the exact date of its inception is uncertain, the Tribunal has undoubtedly undergone significant transformation throughout the years. Early manuscripts reveal that the initial conditions were far from satisfactory; the wolves were frequently confined in cramped, dank, frigid, and malodorous chambers situated beneath the castle. Despite the wolves only being housed there for a single night each month, an oppressive atmosphere of dread and anxiety pervaded the area. Although the wolves were NEVER released on the population, as the moon waxed full, local inhabitants lived in fear, due to the strange noises they would hear coming from the castle. It was not uncommon for a condemned felon to be incarcerated alongside a wolf, a situation which invariably resulted in a hastened execution for the human prisoner.
Through diligent research and continuous restoration efforts, a particular Magistrate managed to significantly improve the Paddocks, relocating them to various towers instead of beneath the castle. Granted that the wolves remained sufficiently tranquil so as not to alarm the neighboring populace, some were even granted barred windows, offering them a glimpse of the surrounding landscape. Over time, the Tribunal has undeniably progressed, with some going so far as to liken it to a veritable spa for werewolves. Now, when wolves are escorted to the Paddocks within the Tribunal facility, they actually anticipate their stay with enthusiasm.
