Kay Taylor Burnett raises exotic animals on a small ranch in the Texas Hill Country. She is a Fellow at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (EPNL); served nine years as a Trustee on the Board of the Santa Fe Institute, Santa Fe, NM; founded Marfa Public Radio; published the Desert Mountain Times; and served as editor of the Desert Candle magazine. Kudu is Burnett's third novel.
