B.T. Scherer grew up along the sun-soaked shores of South Florida, where the beach and ocean were her playground. Surrounded by the wonders of coastal wildlife - turtles, crabs, seagulls, pelicans, and fish - she developed a deep love for nature. As a child, she and her brother would help baby sea turtles make their way safely to the ocean.
