Jake England's first real job in a local bank is quickly put on hold when he is named as a 'person of interest' in the death of a fellow employee . . . the former suitor of a girl where the three of them are working. The same girl who takes more than a casual interest in Jake. While on temporary suspension, he enlists the help of his friends and a jaded local police detective to clear himself and break up a drug ring from Montreal who have set up shop in his home town.
