Vincent Onyebuchi Nwankpa, Ph.D., is an author and is cofounder and president of Eternal Word Communication Ministries (EWCM), a nonprofit ministry devoted to educating children academically in light of the Word of God and planting churches to reach the unreached with the Word of Truth. Dr. Nwankpa cofounded EWCM with his wife, Chinyere, who is his strategic partner and coworker in the ministry. The focus of their ministry is on communicating the Word of God to children, youth, and adults, using education and biblical teaching as bait.
Before coming to the United Stated of America in 1985, Dr. Nwankpa pastored churches in Nigeria. He holds a bachelor of theology (B.Th.) degree from ECWA Theological Seminary, Igbaja, Kwara State, Nigeria; a B.A. degree in biblical studies from Bryan College, Dayton, Tennessee; an M.A. in biblical studies from Talbot Theological Seminary (Biola University), La Mirada, California; and both an MA in Bible translation and a Ph. D. in intercultural studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California.
Dr. Nwankpa has written three books: Understanding Cultural Perspectives, God's Word, and Missions: A Powerful Tool for Theologizing; eBook Made Simple For You (an eBook); and The Joy of Faithful and Cheerful Giving: Wonderful Principles to Embrace.
As the proprietor of Eternal Word Christian Schools International, Umudibia, Nekede, Imo State, Nigeria, Dr. Nwankpa is a missionary and a pastor/teacher. He has planted churches in Nigeria and the United States of America, also serving as elder and board member of his church, Long Beach Alliance Church. He loves winning souls for Jesus Christ. He preaches at Long Beach Rescue Mission once a month or every three months.
Dr. Nwankpa has been happily married to his wife, Chinyere, for forty years. They currently reside in Norwalk, California, with their two children, Chidi and Chioma. When Dr. Nwankpa is not in the mission field overseas, he works for Lynwood Unified School District as a substitute teacher.
