Lily shares the story of her little brother Peter, who has a dual diagnosis of Hirschsprung Disease and Down syndrome. Lily tells us more about life with these diagnoses and how the family has worked together to give Peter a happy, healthy, and safe home.
Raising a child who has a hard time communicating his or her feelings (such as a child with Down syndrome) adds to the difficulty of coping with any complex medical condition such as Hirschprung Disease.
