The author, Colonel Gene P. Abel brings his talent as

Colonel Abel's formal education includes a Bachelor of
Science in fi nance from Penn State and a Masters of
Business Administration from Lehigh University. His thirty
years as a highly successful executive included Dean
of a Community College, VP of a Bank, head of the services division at a large
teaching hospital, Administrator of a department at an Ivy league university
and his last position was the COO of a large public school district. He also
served fi ve years on Active Duty and twenty-fi ve years in the Army Reserve.
He began his career as a Regular Army Offi cer with such diverse assignments
as Nuclear Weapons Offi cer in an 8" Field Artillery Battalion and later an Army
Finance Offi cer. Abel accepted a Reserve Commission after completing four
years on Active duty. He graduated from the Army War College and was
nominated for Brigadier General. He retired after 30 years of service. He was
awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal
on two occasions.
