What is White Nonsense? In the United States and elsewhere, White Nonsense, at its core, is the fiction of race fed by the lie of white supremacy. It is the fiction that melanin-lacking people originally from Europe are inherently of more value than people of other ethnic origins. White Nonsense describes how white privilege has undergirded and undermined our history and experiment in constitutional democracy. Its roots can be traced to the justifications for colonization known as the Doctrine of Discovery. Because of White Nonsense, the world we have created is off-kilter. The lie of white supremacy keeps morphing and adapting, leading right into the challenges we face today.
