The effects of workplace mistreatment on individual and organizational well-being have been highlighted in the popular press and clearly documented in the empirical literature.
This book integrates findings from the empirical literature with the practice literature to identify practical, evidence-based recommendations to prevent and address systemic workplace mistreatment. It discusses the recursive effects of mistreatment in organizations and how individual and organizational well-being can be enhanced by implementing policies and procedures that address the full impact of mistreatment in organizations. In addition, this book will focus on evidence-based recommendations for how organizations can create a civil workforce, thereby preventing further workplace mistreatment.
