Daily Readings for Catholics provides the reader with an opportunity to read Sacred Scripture in light of the writings of the Church Fathers. There are six readings for every day of the week, each day with a Psalm, an Old and New Testament reading, along with select readings from the Church Fathers. The readings were not selected at random but were intended to complement each other, with the New Testament reading being relevant to the Old Testament reading and with each of the selections from the Church Fathers being relevant to the readings from Scripture.
