Donyale Luna was the world's first African American supermodel, through the 60's she starred as a magazine covergirl more than 11 times. She was the first black model to ever grace the cover of a Vogue magazine. Appearing in a number of films by Andy Warhol, Antonioni's Blow Up, and also Fellini's Satyricon.

Throughout the turbulent 60's Luna found herself smack bang in the centre of the most happening scenes. She rolled with Miles Davis, The Black Panthers, the Warhol Factory, grooved through London's Swinging 60's.
Throughout the 1960's Luna embodied the 'femme fatale' as she became the muse for the most influential and dangerous artists of the decade in fashion, film, music and art.
