It's Jamaica 1980, and violence from a bloody general election has spread across the island like wildfire. When Tafari-a poor seventeen-year-old, one-legged Rastafarian boy-and a nineteen-year-old white Catholic girl meet and fall for each other, the boy's die-hard Rastafarian father immediately disapproves of the friendship-the same for the girl's dad. To show those around them that love has no rules, both teenagers must stand up against racial discrimination, religious discrimination, envy, and a deadly wave of political violence that's closing in on their rural community. Will the love that they have for each other survive, or will their love surrender to hate?

Roger O. Williams is a former stagehand, stage manager, and props master in the theatrical field. He is also a U.S. military veteran, actor, and animal rights activist. He is the author of Turn Back Blow, Murder For Sale, and Only Animals Allowed in Heaven. He was born and raised in Manchester, a rural part of Jamaica. He currently lives in the United States.
