An avid horsewoman, Kathryn Bartow has taken her experience with horses and ranch life to write a compelling story of love, honor, and family, twisted with betrayal, despair, and healing.
Involvement in 4-H secured her attendance to Findlay College, from where, having earned her degree in equine science, she then relocated to Southwest Colorado, and there, her love for the Western culture took hold. The daring move to Wyoming with a young daughter, raising her alone, instilled the values of her youth as she engrossed herself in all that was "cowboy."
Living in the Western states during her early adulthood provided her the knowledge and personal love in the setting of the Moore Ranch. Many cattle drives and rodeos, horses trained, students taught, and countless hours bonding with the great Rocky Mountains, combined with her inner literary love for storytelling, the series High Riding Heart has begun.
Kathryn currently resides in Ohio. She enjoys her Rocky Mountain mare "Lacy" and continues to ride the trails of our nation. Her daughter, Barbara Lynn, lives near, and her grandchildren are the light of her heart.
"Red Pasture" is the beginning of the series High Riding Heart. Kathryn is currently penning the second book.
